EQUIPMENT REMOVALEquipment or Items:
- purchased for $5000 or more
- display a gold AFCRI tag
- display a UPENN Property tag
removal requires special paperwork and you should place a RF Helpdesk request for RF to remove the item for you.
All other (non-hazardous)Equipment purchased for less than $5000, is disposed via PSOM Space Planning and Operations: Move Request forms can be submitted online using the SPO website.
The fee is $85 per form. Up to 5 small items may be included on one form. Anything with coolant or something extra large like a freezer may require additonal disposal fee. Be sure to remove any hazardous materials and decon if necessary: wipe down with 70% EtOH is usually sufficient but check with EHRS if you are unsure.
- Your MOVE TO location will be OTHER and you should enter Move to Trash.
- You will receive email confirmation of your request.
- Place a printout of the confirmation on the item(s)
- Remove all owner and upenn identifying labels, tags
- DO NOT leave trash equipment in hallways-keep in your area for pick up
